How long is the school day?

The youngest class meets Tuesday/Thursday mornings from 8:30 to 11:45. The preschool class meets Monday/Wednesday/Friday mornings from 8:30 to 11:45 and the Pre-Kindergarten class meets Monday through Friday afternoon from 12:45 to 4:00.

Do you offer extended care?

Peter's Place is a half-day program. We have limited spots available for both morning and afternoon children in our lunch program from 11:45-12:45pm.  We also offer extended care on Monday and Wednesday from 4:00-5:00 pm to children enrolled in our Pre-K program.  Both of these programs have limited space and an additional fee.

Do children need to be potty trained to attend?

Children do NOT need to be potty trained to attend Peter's Place. We believe using the toilet is a developmental skill. We provide extra clothing for children and help them change as needed.

What about parent participation?

We invite parents and caregivers to volunteer inside and outside the classroom. Parents volunteer to read to children, lead an activity, or help outside the classroom in a variety of ways. There is a Parent Volunteer Coordinator, and each class has a Room Parent to help facilitate involvement within the parent community.

Do you ever have mid-year openings?

Spaces do occasionally become available. Families with applications on file will be notified of the available opening.

Will you accept children in September if they are just shy by days (weeks or a month) of the 2 year and 6 month requirement?

No, the Department of Social Services license stipulates that Peter's Place Nursery School can accept children only if they are 2 years 6 months by the first day of class in late August/early September.

How much does Peter’s Place cost for the 2024-25 school year?

The Tuesday/Thursday morning class is $7,250.00

The Monday/Wednesday/Friday morning class is $10,325.00

The Pre-Kindergarten class, which meets five afternoons, is $13,375.00

What elementary schools do Peter's Place graduates go to?
